Country Date to Remember - February 28, 1986
It had been close to a year and a half since she had worked a concert stage, but there would be no holding back Country Music's teflon woman, Barbara Mandrell, tonight. It was her first concert appearance since her near-fatal automobile accident in September 1984. With an all-star audience of well-wishers, as well as an opening act by the name of Dolly Parton, the two-time Entertainer Of The Year dazzled the crowd as she always had. Before the show, she admitted that she wasn't sure if she wanted to return to the stage, but tonight's show kicked off another eleven years of entertaining fans until her retirement in 1997.
